Acknowledging that 40 ounces of water are wasted when an 8 ounce
glass of water served is not used, restaurants in certain regions of
California are only serving tap water upon request. No more glass of
water sitting there when all you want is a cold frothy
beer.
Even if you are not a
restaurant, small actions make a big impact. A best practice for all
organizations? Shut off water to unused areas of your facility to
eliminate waste from leaks or unmonitored use.
