Dr. Abzug was born in Los Angeles, California. He did his undergraduate studies at UC Santa Barbara, graduating with a B.A. in Geography in 1975. He attended dental school at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. He graduated with honors in 1980. While at the University of the Pacific, he received a U.S. Public Health Service Scholarship, so upon graduation he served in the U.S. Public Health Service in El Mirage, Arizona for two years. He has been in private practice since 1982.
Dr. Abzug's wife, Terry is a hygienist, and they both enjoy tennis. He also is an avid sailor, bicyclist, hiker, and reader. They have a son and daughter, one in high school and one in the first year of college. Come in and meet Dr. Abzug.
